John Jewel’s “Apology for the Church of England:” in the “Life of Jewell,” we get a picture of his final days including his emoluments, gifts and patronage of Richard Hooker. ANF1—“Apostolic Fathers and Justin Martyr:” outlines Book of Irenaeus’s “Against Heretics.”
