John Jewel’s “Apology for the Church of England:” the Preface to this volume retails manuscript-defilements cutting out St. Chyrsostom on the Eucharist as well as Aelfric and Berto of Corbie. ANF1—“Apostolic Fathers and Justin Martyr:” retails the outline of Polycarp’s Letter to the Philippians as well as an epistle discussing Polycarp’s martyrdom.
