1555. Articles are levied against Bishop Ferrar of St. David’s. Fortunately, Foxes has preserved the hot-talkers’ libels and the Bishop’s answers. (13-18). The chanter and some of his comrades didn’t take well to Bishop Farrar and the Reformation out west. In 1555, it’s catch-up time for Mary’s inquisitors—Spanish style. Thank God for Foxe's historical work, notwithstanding the later libels and animosities of Maitland at Lambeth. Foxe preserved the records so readers could assess thing, thank you, Mr. Maitland.
