William Whittaker’s “Disputation on Holy Scripture:” Dr. Whittaker has finished his textual tour of Genesis, comparing the Vulgate with the LXX and Hebrew originals. John Jewel’s “Apology for the Church of England:” Bishop Jewel notes how the Romanist Church gathers up all the Biblical titles and excludes the Reformers from the Ark of Salvation, outside of which there is no salvation. “Ante-Nicene Fathers down to 325 AD: 1 Clement focuses on Christ the Author of our good works which we do and which He blesses.
