John Foxe: "Acts and Monuments," 4.22ff.

OTTOMAN EMPIRE: (1) Ottoman, the first great Emperor of the Turks, 1300 A.D. (25). (2) Orchan, the second Emperor. (3) Amurath, the third Ottoman Emperor (26). Bajazet, the fourth Emperor (27). Calephine, the fifth Emperor (29). A story of internecine brutalities and avaricious warmongering. Soon enough, Foxe will get around to the Europeans themselves, who are manifold and wicked sinners too, including the Huss-burners. It will really get ugly in the 30-years war in Europe.
