Anglican and Episcopal History (June 2022): in “Anglicanism, the Lambeth Conferences, and International Relations in the Twentieth Century,” Dr. ANDREW CHANDLER discusses Lambeth in the pre-WW2 days, focusing on Hague Conventions. Table Talk (July 2022): discusses Jesus’s view of little children and warns against belittling the children. Sometimes, the children ask brilliant theological questions. Standard Bearer (June 2022): “Letter to the Editor:” a very strong letter is given against a book review of Rachel Miller’s “Beyond Authority and Submission: Women and Men in Marriage, Church and Society.” It scorches the book and SB’s favorable review of the book. Bibliotheca Sacra (Jan-Mar 2021): in “A Chronology of the Life of Christ with Emphasis on the Nativity and Epiphany,” Kurt Simmons, J.D. wonks away on dating schemata. Modern Reformation (May/June 2022): in “Restoring Eve,” Kendra Dahl discusses Susah Foh and Gen. 3.16 along with the litany of penalties, measured to the offence including death for disrespect and disobedience. Modern Reformation (July/Aug 2022): in in “Lost and Found: Calvin’s Sermon on the Scrap Heap,” Dr. Zachary Purvis discusses the provenance of rediscovered folios of Calvin’s sermons, sermons taken down by notetaking stenographers. Calvin Theological Journal (Spring 2022): in “The Beatitudes and the Life of the Church, Gerard M, Cisar discusses “mourning” in the Sermon on the Mount. Fair piece of work.
