INTERVIEW: Rev. Mark Winder (OPC) & Rev. Donald Veitch (WCF-BCP-TFU)
AN REC/RES/SHREVEPORT STORY. Rev. Mark
Winder (OPC Pastor) discusses numerous things. His entrance to the REC/RES via
Emmanuel REC, Pipersville, his exposure to the Rev. Dr. Dale Krauthamel, Dr.
Peter Toon, Mr. Ray Sutton and Mark’s entire time in Philadelphia. He then
relocated to Shreveport, LA, for the new RES school called “Cranmer House.”
Misrepresentations of fact were used to sell the school. Mark sold his home,
gave up his business job (good wages) and move with wife and three children to
Shreveport. The library was not what he had been sold (by Mr. Sutton). The
students worked weekends at janitorial and lawn services atop—in addition to--working
for the on-site pharmaceutical company. Pastor Winder tells of Mr. Sutton’s
views and teachings on baptismal regeneration (head-for-heads and against the
old REC’s “Declaration of Principles”), baptismal justification, the merit rosary
beads, the bone-muncher-cruncher views of Jesus in the elements—same body as
Jesus of Nazareth, prayers to saints, reservation of the elements from Holy
Communion. As for the term “bone-muncher-cruncher,” we refer to Dr. Cranmer’s comments
to Bishop Bonner in 1549: “Do you eat the ears, nose and eyes of Jesus…” Well,
by resistless logic (someone was a “logic and philosophy major), if you eat
ears, eyes, and the nose of Jesus, why not the legs, femur bones, toe nails and
all? If one holds that view, accept the logic. The phrase is justified and
follows Dr. Cranmer who was battling the ever-hostile Bonner later known as
Bloody Bonner for his murderousness in the Marian genocide of 1553-1558. Back
on topic. Mr. Sutton was also “selling” the theme that Reformed Episcopalians
were not “Reformed” in theology, but that the word meant “Reforming” or “Reorganizing
Episcopalians.” On our end, we have argued both and that the documentary record
supports our view—arguing otherwise, contra: our thesis, is to drive suicidally
into a brick of brute facts. For more on the Reformed Theology of the old Reformed
Episcopal Seminary, see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZd-hxcZCcA&list=PLUDbB9El9rkqPUAm_gdYHgn2vRKChuONm
. The timeframe on this video is roughly
1999-2001ish when he left the Shreveport school, but the school folded. “Obey
the Bishop” was thematic (expected from a Monarchialist Imperator like Mr.
Sutton.) Pastor Winder retails one chilling and imperialist threat made to him
by Mr. Sutton. Rev. God willing, we plan to explore more of the “theology” of
the REC drifting into APA-waters with shifty-shifting theology. One account at
the end is vintage for Mr. Sutton. This is the Theological Forensic Unit—these are
their stories. PS…we also conducted this with the 9th commandment in
view and as if on the floor of an OPC Presbytery (where demanding and truthful
speech and thinking is actively pursued). We want facts and facts only. You
decide.
