INTERVIEW: Evangelical Reformed Seminary, Kiev, Ukraine & Rev. Donald Ve...

A wonderful interview with the President of the Seminary, Alister Torrens, and Fedy, the Academic Dean. The history, curricula, number of students (about 40), the 4 faculty members (with a bit on Graffie-Wellhausians), the Reformed Confessional character of the seminary and more. Also, a few words of note were put forward about the Thirty-Nine Articles, including comments about manifold disloyalties to those standards. Also, a recommendation to Anglicans worldwide to get out of the basement (confessionally) and ride the elevator to the top floor--as really High Churchmen--maturing and adopting the Westminster Standards and Three Forms of Unity. Be Reformed with a Prayer Book. More interviews are forthcoming, notably, the Academic Dean. Also, we trust, to interview all the seminary students, as if standing around the coffee pot talking (where much learning occurs). Also, for those who are enabled and can donate, the address is Evangelical Reformed Seminary, Burmystenka Lane, 25а, Kiev, Ukraine. Additionally, we will ask Ligonier Ministries if a donor can donate money for "Table Talk" for the four faculty members and all 40 students (at a cost of $880) in support of Reformed Confessors. All that could be worked out later. We also recommend visiting their FB home page. https://www.facebook.com/ersupartners/ As a decorated combat veteran who's face fired upon and been shot at, this scribe salutes and respects these men teaching theology in a combat zone. Absolutely so! A prompt salute! Theology for manly men, not effeminate tinker-toys-for-boys, vestments and sartorial splendors, and puerile toys-for-boys in theatrical Disney World, but manly men. Not slinking back, but "confessing the faith openly and clearly." Not having a basemen-low theology, but a high, Biblical, clear confession of faith. God bless this school. "The Lord be with you. And with thy spirit, let us pray: `Almighty Good, the Author of all being, our only true Guide and Protector; Visit with thy blessing, we pray thee, our Church Schools and seminary of learning. Inspire the teachers with a proper sense of their solemn duties, and with grace and strength to fulfill them. May our youth be trained up in thy nurture and admonition. Implant in their hearts the fear of the LORD, which is the beginning of wisdom, and that faith which worked by love and overcometh the world. Fill their memories with the words of thy Law. Open their understandings to the truth as it is in Jesus; so that, made wise unto salvation, they may escape the pollutions of error and sin, and become strong in thy hands for the maintenance of pure and undefiled religion among men. Grant this, for the sake of Jesus Christ thy Son, our Savior, Amen.'" (1935 REC BCP).
