INTERVIEW: Rev. Bret McAtee (Reformed) & Rev. Donald Veitch (WCF-BCP-TFU)

Rev. Bret McAtee is the Pastor of Christ the King Reformed Church. He and I discuss R2K, historic 2k, the Westminster Confession of Faith (with OT citations for the 10 commandments, Dr. Godfrey, Dr. Van Drunen, Dr. R. Scott Clark, Dr. Meredith Kline, the Mosaic covenant as a covenant of works, the Noahic covenant as a covenant with the natural realm, and the quick attachment of theonomy to 2K discussions and Federal Vision. We also discussed his new book: "Saved to be Warriors: Exposing the Errors of Radical Two Kingdom Theology" available here: https://www.amazon.com/Saved-Warriors... This is a Reformed matter that is outside the Anglican orbit chasing their vestments, eucharistic, and women’s ordination. We look forward to discussing “Federal Vision” with Prof. David Engelsma of Protestant Reformed Seminary, Prof. emeritus and author of several books one being “Federal Vision.” Of public notice, Dr. R. Scott Clark decline an interview on “Federal Vision.” Rev. McAtee declines identification with “Federal Vision” and described himself as a “soft theonomist.” We’d add that we are Reformed Confessionalists, Westminster Standards, 3FU, Cranmerian Prayer Book men, and detectives of the Theological Forensic Unit. “These are their stories.” As for education, Dr. Pierce said this: "Every child in America entering school at the age of five is MENTALLY ILL because he comes to school with certain allegiances toward our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. It's up to you teachers to make all of these sick children well by creating the international children of the future." In a radical and stark contract to Dr. Pierce, as for Reformed and Confessional Churchmen, Dr. Charles Hodge said this: ““It is a fact that unless children are brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, they, and the society which they constitute or control, will go to destruction. Consequently, when a state resolves that religious instruction shall be banished from the schools and other literary institutions, it virtually resolves on self-destruction.” Charles Hodge Presbyterian Theologian, Principal of Princeton Theological Seminary (1851-1878). Can R2Kers walk with Prof. Hodge or do we allow the natural realm to follow, without rebuke, law and gospel, the opinions of Dr. Pierce? Or, are R2Kers retreatists and hiding pietists? The Theological Forensic Unit—these are their stories.
