Southwestern Theological Journal (Fall 2021), “New Approaches to the Use of the Old Testament in the New Testament:” Dr. Andrew D. Streett introduces, with little impact, the issue of “social controls” on OT/NT usages. It is not clear nor practical, but complex and confusing.

The Biblical Repertory and Princeton Review (Volume 9 issue 1, 1837, pages 1-29), Rev. Joel Jones in “Protestantism” begins his disquisition of US state constitutions on freedom of religion and without state imposition or controls.

Concordia Theological Journal (Winter 2020), “The Conversions of Adiabene and Edessa in Syriac Christianity and Judaism: The Relations of Jews and Christians in Northern Mesopotamia in Antiquity: Dr.  Michael Thomas is still wandering around on Roman legions exploring the northern headwaters of the Tigris-Euphrates area and the standoff between Rome and Persia.
