Word on Wednesday: The BCP at TGC

The Gospel Coalition had a conference in America recently. They usually don't have millions of Anglicans attending, but this year they at least had John Yates II and John Yates III, two Anglican ministers.
The Yateses led a seminar/workshop at the conference on “The Anglican Book of Common Prayer: What Relevance Does It Have to Today’s Contemporary Worship?” Their aim was to acquaint people with the background and some of the major insights of the Book of Common Prayer and how it relates to personal and corporate worship today.
It was targeted especially at those who are not from an Anglican liturgical background, but since that includes many folks in the C of E today even, it is of wide relevance to all of us.
There was also some encouraging talk about the growth of evangelical ministry in the Anglican churches in the US.
The talk can be listened to or downloaded from here.
Don’t forget, incidentally, about the talk I linked to last week on voting in the General Election.
This is still relevant until May 7th! Sophia Akouo is an ordinary Anglican churchgoer who likes listening to good talks - See more at:
