29 September 1538 A.D.  All days including festival of Thomas of Canterbury (presumably a Becket) were suspended or “abrogated.” On information and belief, we believe this was connected with Thomas Cromwell, but proceeded with Henry VIII’s approval in an effort to break the affection with Rome. We need further documentation to establish the background, however.
