Theological Journals
Standard Bearer (May 15, 2022): in “PRCA and the True/False Church (4),” Rev. Joshua Engelsma comments on the “trueness” of the PRCA, preaching the true Gospel and as recognized in the orbit of Reformed orthodoxy, holding to the 3FU. They’ve not walked pell-mell down the road to heresy and apostasy.
Bibliotheca Sacra (Jan-Mar 2021): “Jesus’s Promise of the Spirit and the Teaching of the Faith: From Kerygma to Catechesis,” Dr. Douglas Sweeney comments on the on-going role of speech by God to us in our time from the OT. Not just speech essential when given, e.g. Moses and Solomon, but as speech by the “Ever-Communicating God” (our words in quotes).
Modern Reformation (May/June 2022): in “Learning to Read Scripture Like the Fathers,” Craig Carter continues to argue ably about the “participatory metaphysics” of Bible reading.
Calvin Theological Journal (Spring 2022): in “Permaculture for Ecotheology: An Innovative Experiment,” Troy Bierma proves again that he cannot get his head out of the sand. We love journals for Professional Agriculture, just not in a theological magazine.
Westminster Magazine (Spring 2022): Dr. Garcia, a systematician at WTS, discusses the “fear of the LORD,” objectively and subjectively, as manifested amongst believers but also in the liturgical assembly of worship.
