7/18/20: Morning Prayer (BCP)--Psalm 90-92; Proverbs 3.27-4.20; Acts 20....

These three Psalms are golden. The rabbis thought Psalm 91-100 were written by Moses. Moses was a song-writer. Music is a gateway to theological training, learning and as an expression of God's "most worthy praise."

Proverbs enjoins pursuit of knowledge and wisdom--no anti-intellectualism there. Further, there is the "doctrine of avoidance," to wit, steering clear of unwise and unlearned people.

Acts gives St. Paul's final message to the Ephesian elders at Miletus. Paul preached the "whole counsel of God," to wit, the Trinity and redemption from the OT.

The WSC discusses the Lord's Supper and the Lord's Prayer. The WSC never grows old.
