The Synoptic Gospels are in view. Pondering anew the "apostolic preaching" with the Gospels as the "effect," noting that many, many, many discussions must have occurred at dinner and breakfast tables, as it were. Are there reasons to not think Matthew could have been written in the 40s? Or, Matthean priority? Also, to ponder anew Bishop Westcott's emphasis on "apostolic preaching?" Prof. Harrison, a warrantable scholar, brings these matters to the fore. Shortly hereafter, we'll be dealing with form criticism, redaction criticism, 2-document theory and the 4-document there.
