Prof. A.F. Pollard's "Thomas Cranmer & the English Reformation" (#1), iv.

The Prof. gives a nice, although dated, survey of the biographies on Dr. Cranmer, writing, as he does, in 1906 from Putney, London.

Anyone been to Aslockton, Nottinghamshire? (Spelled Aslackton variously). Apparently, it's close to Sherwood Forest of Robin Hood fame.

Wonder what such a visit might yield? E.g. the Whatton Parish Church?
